According to FlexJobs’ survey of working parents, the ability to work flexibly is one of the top contributors to a healthy work-life balance. Great post Carly! I am in the same boat without as you with going back to work after having a baby. My husband and I decided it’s best that I stay home. I am blogging as well and hope to contribute to my family financially as well. ITs so nice to hear of someone’s success blogging so close to home (I’m from Saskatchewan) it gives me the fire to keep keep going!
Agreeing to too many favors for friends with office jobs. Of course you want to be a good neighbor and friend. But many people in your life -- especially those who commute to traditional workplaces -- may have a hard time understanding that your time is just as valuable as theirs, and that yes, you do actually have a real job. But that doesn't mean you are now free to sign up for every single parent request that comes home in that folder. Just say no (at least some times).
